BANK REPAIRS AND STRIMMING

Every effort will be made to minimise disruption to anglers if bank repairs or strimming needs to be undertaken.

CHILDREN

Park is not equipped to cope with children under 15. Guests may only bring children over 15 with the prior permission of the Estate and guests will be responsible for any damage caused by children in the house and on the Estate.

DAMAGES

In the event of any damage being caused to Park land or property guests will be responsible and charged in full for the necessary repairs and, as appropriate, replacements.

DEE CONSERVATION CODE

The Conservation Code for the 2023 season, as set by the Dee District Salmon Fishery Board is that all salmon, grilse and sea trout should be returned. The Conservation Code recommends that all injured or damaged fish become the property of the Estate after 1st April. Before 1st April all fish killed must be returned to the river. Please note spinning is not permitted at Park.

DOGS

Dogs are not allowed, at any time, in Lime Tree Cottage. Guests may bring dogs who are kept in a vehicle and when outwith the vehicle on a lead. Owners are responsible for their dogs, especially those which are noisy or out of control. Unsuitable animals may have to be removed from the Estate.

FISHING

Park reserves the right to bring in other rods should rods fail to arrive or to fish at a reasonable level.

Park is a private estate and the family reserve the right to decline any specific booking or other request. If guests wish to change during the period of let this can be accommodated by prior arrangement.

The fishing huts are provided as shelters and lunch huts and are not to be used for any other purpose except by prior arrangement.

Rod allocation will be at 9:00 am by the ghillie. At 1:00 pm the rods shall rotate beats as appropriate. Fishing before 9:00 am shall be with the prior agreement of the ghillies. Fishing after 5:00 pm will also be with prior agreement of the ghillies.

One rod only per beat except in high water when the ghillie may double up with the agreement of the opposite bank. Under no circumstances shall two rods fish any pool from the same bank at the same time.

Multiple rod use e.g. two or more people sharing a rod, is not allowed. With the Estate’s permission a rod may be able to transfer their rod to another fisher.

Please note spinning is not permitted at Park. If guests are found fishing by any prohibited method or are in breach of the terms and conditions herein, they will be required to remove themselves immediately from the Estate and the let will be terminated forthwith without any compensation being payable.

Park requires prior notice of any serious medical conditions. An angler with a serious medical condition must be accompanied by an assistant/ carer.

We regret that we are unable to change the beat rotation under these circumstances if the relevant bank is fully booked.

GHILLIES

The Estate provides a ghillie on the north and south bank. Further ghillies are available at an extra charge if required. Alcohol will not be consumed by staff while on duty.

INSURANCE

Guests are required to hold suitable third party insurance cover to indemnify both themselves and all their guests against all claims of whatever nature which may arise from the exercise of the let.

LIME TREE COTTAGE

Lime Tree Cottage will be available to fishing guests throughout the 2023 season, on an exclusive basis, from Tuesday 31st January to Saturday 14th October. The minimum period of rental is 2 nights.

Arrival is after 4.00 pm with departure before 10.30 am on the relevant day. Beds will be made and towels will be provided (included in the price).

Dogs are not allowed, at any time, in Lime Tree Cottage. Guests may bring dogs who are kept in a vehicle and when out with the vehicle on a lead. WiFi, electricity and heating costs are included in the price.

2023 DEAL

There will be a season long deal on our self catering accommodation: if you book Lime Tree Cottage for 5 nights or more you will receive a 5% discount on your accommodation cost. 

Please note to qualify for this deal you must book through the office. 

LAUNDRY

If further bed changes in Lime Tree Cottage are required a supplementary charge of £30.00 per bed (including VAT) will be payable on departure.

PARTIES

We do not cater for stag and hen parties and no extra guests may be brought on to the Estate without prior permission. 

PAYMENT

We prefer either bank transfer or payment by card over the telephone. All extras must be settled prior to departure.

For Fishing bookings and Lime Tree Cottage bookings the total amount is payable to confirm the booking.

We will endeavour to re-let rods cancelled and if successful you will be refunded minus a 20% administration charge. If we cannot re-let the rods please see below the cancellation structure for fishing bookings:

  • Cancellation before 8 weeks – Loss of 20% of total booking
  • Cancellation between 8-6 weeks before arrival – Loss of 40% of total booking including deposit
  • Cancellation between 6-4 weeks before arrival – Loss of 60% of total booking including deposit
  • Cancellation between 2-4 weeks before arrival – Loss of 80% of total booking including deposit
  • Cancellation less than 2 weeks before arrival – No refund

POACHING

Guests should remain vigilant and co-operate in the prosecution of poaching. Please report any incident, including any unauthorised vehicles, to the ghillie immediately.

PRICES

All prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rate.

SAFETY

When in the vicinity of the river guests are required to complete the indemnity form and are strongly advised to wear life jackets. In safety matters the Ghillies decision is final.

Other activities may require safety warnings and specialist equipment, which guest must provide themselves.

Fishing and shooting guests are required to act safely at all times and to note that care should be taken with alcohol when participating in these sports.

THE SUBJECTS OF LET

Comprise the fishing and other activities, e.g. shooting, as booked and the use of Lime Tree Cottage, as applicable, for the named guests and their partners as previously agreed with the Estate. Any extra visitors or guests are by prior agreement only.

The Estate does not accept responsibility for natural hazards and adverse climatic conditions affecting the catching of salmon or affecting other pursuits at Park. 

UNAVAILABILITY

Should Park become unavailable through any external cause, including fire or a pandemic, the Estate’s liability will be limited to the amount paid.

VEHICLES

Guests must exercise care and consideration in driving vehicles on all Estate roads. The speed limit is a maximum of 15 mph throughout the Estate.

Please do not drive on the verges and especially on the grass river banks. These are easily tracked so allowing floods to erode them.
